Jamie's

Milwaukee

Summary

2nd Street in the early 1970s, briefly known at the outset as "The New Seaway." It was owned by Otto Schuler, who relocated the bar portion of his Seaway Inn to this site after that business was forced to close. Schuler soon renamed it Jamie's in tribute to local performer Jamie Hernandez, known as Jamie Gays, who served as host. After Schuler died suddenly in late 1973, the bar was sold, and the Ball Game opened in the space in March 1974. The site had previously held the bar Castaways South.
