Black Forest Inn

Black Forest Inn was a combined bar and restaurant at 814 S. 2nd Street in Milwaukee, opened in August 1976 and run by a same-sex couple. Its decor evoked an Old World, Black Forest theme, with tree trunks, branches, and European memorabilia, and it was remembered for good food and a relaxed atmosphere. The business advertised in the local gay press beginning in 1976 and appears to have closed around 1978.
