Summary
Widely regarded as a lesbian bar, it also drew a strong male crowd and was known for dances, contests, softball teams and food, including a popular Sunday brunch. The original owners, Roger and Sally, opened the bar around 1966 and ran it for two decades before passing it to new owners in 1986. The Beer Garden closed in March 1989, and a reunion party was later held in its memory.
