Biography
Independent LGBTQ Scholar Advisory Panel, Wis. LGBTQ History Project Primary Location: Western Wisconsin Ulysses Swanson is an independent scholar with a passion for LGBTQ history and its accessibility. In his ongoing project "Transgender Ancestors," he traces the lives and family histories of gender nonconforming people from the 1840s to the 1940s.
A lifelong Minnesotan, he fell in love with Wisconsin's LGBTQ history and community while working on his project during road trips with his husband and other gay best friends.
