Elizabeth (Bet-z) Boenning

Elizabeth (Bet-z) Boenning has been best known as owner of one of the country's few remaining lesbian bars, "Walker's Pint". Elizabeth "Bet'z" Boenning opened Walker's Pint, a women's bar in Milwaukee's Walker's Point neighborhood, in July 2001. Having previously worked at the women's bar Dish, she set out to create a bright, welcoming neighborhood tavern and later founded a nonprofit to support charitable causes.
