Unicorn
Milwaukee
Summary
Unicorn was a short-lived Milwaukee gay bar that opened in early 1984 in the basement of the Sidney HiH building at 300 W. Juneau Avenue. It was owned by Gus Hosseini, who also managed the building and had previously run a gay disco called the Golden Shaft in the same space. By September 1984 the Unicorn had closed as a gay bar and reopened as an underground punk and alternative music venue. The space later housed the Milwaukee Eagle, a Levi/leather bar, beginning in 1997.
