Summary
Out 'N About opened on South 1st Street in August 2003, in a building that had long held a popular straight bar and near the leather bar Harbor Room. It featured a sizable dance floor, a long bar, an attached restaurant, and a rear patio, catering primarily to a lesbian crowd while remaining welcoming to all. Late in 2005 a naming dispute forced it to rebrand as MO'NA's. The business struggled with inconsistent crowds and management decisions; the restaurant closed in 2011 and the bar shut down in mid-2012.
