Intermezzo
Milwaukee
Summary
2nd Street, in the same building that housed the Q-Life newspaper and the Milwaukee Gay Arts Center. It likely grew out of the limited drink service offered during intermissions and after performances at the arts center. The bar offered a large selection of wines by the glass and featured bottled beers from places that had legalized same-sex marriage or partnership benefits, and it sat within an active gay bar district. Despite these advantages, it failed to build a steady following and closed quietly by late 2006.
