Clay's Castaways

Kinnickinnic Avenue between 1984 and 1986. Described as a relaxed neighborhood bar, it went through a confusing series of names, appearing variously as "Clay's Castaways," "Castaways," briefly "Castaways South," and finally simply "Clay's." In May 1986 the space was abruptly rebranded as Jet's Place. The building was one in a succession of LGBTQ bars at the address, following Casablanca and preceding Jet's Place and 3B's.
