Summary

The After Dark Lounge opened at 2839 Harrison Street in Oshkosh in 1980. Located on the outskirts of town, the bar was prone to harassment and even a few physical altercations inside the bar and in the parking lot. The bar's matchbook covers read "Where You Meet New Friends"; but the bar was not found listed in any national gay guides or in any of the early Wisconsin LGBT publications. The bar closed after about one year.
